Allah is All-forgiving

A slave (person) committed a sin & said," O Lord, I have committed a sin, so forgive me."
The Lord said," My slave knows that he has a lord that forgives sins. Therefore, I have forgiven my slave."
Then he committed another sin & said, "O Lord, I have committed another sin, so forgive me!"
His Lord says, "My slave knows that he has a lord who forgives sins, therefore, I have forgiven him."
And on the third or fourth occurence Allah says, "He may do whatever he wishes."
(Recorded by Al-Bukhary & Muslim)

WHAT THIS HADITH MEANS IS THAT IF THE PERSON CONTINUES TO BEHAVE IN THIS MANNER, COMMITTING A SIN BUT THEN REALIZING HIS MISTAKE & ASKING FORGIVENESS, THEN ALLAH WILL CONTINUE TO FORGIVE HIM!!

  2. Sometimes when my hope withers away, i feel that i am unworthy of being forgiven. I walk recklessly, kicking stones, sighing heavily, really giving no attention to what matters.

I read this, and i really don't know. I believe that i commit appaling mistakes sometimes. I keep doing that. Sinning, repenting, sinning, repenting, and it simply never comes to a stop.

I got used to a life style. Now i know it's not working for me but some stuff are still in my blood. Sometimes i feel worn out by how exhaustive my attempts are.

This hadith shook me. I mean, maybe it's ok to give myselft a pat and buy the idea stating how hard i am trying. Maybe you need to not be so hard on yourself sometimes.

Thank you for this beautiful reminder. You've just gained plenty of '' Hasanat. '' :).

  3. thanx Muhammad for the comment ....i really appreciate it :)

well ... i just wanna tell u that u r not the only one who gets such a feeling.... there r many others like u .. I agree that we're sometimes overcome by the sense of guilt to the degree that we feel we're not deserving of forgiveness & we lose hope in Allah's mercy, which encompasses every thing :( ..

    Allah said:
"Say: "O 'Ibâdî (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allâh, verily Allâh forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful" (Quran 39:53)

"And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins, and He knows what you do"(Quran 42:25)

Al-hasan al-Basri was once asked, "shouldn't we be shy in front of Allah to ask Him to forgive a sin & then we do it it again, then we again ask Him to forgive the sin & we do it again?" Al-Hasan answered, "Satan wishes that he could gain that victory over u. Don't get bored with asking forgiveness.

that's why we shouldn't be so harsh on ourselves ... after all we r humans ... we all commint mistakes ... we r not perfect ... we're not infallible & we will never be ... even some prophets subhan Allah committed sins ...
what counts is that we recognize our mistakes & try our best to redeem ourselves even if we repeat this mistake :))

  4. O The most forgiving one,O you who loves to forgive, forgive us not, if there would be any decrease in the level of your forgiveness, upon forgiving us. O the ever living one and never dying one, make our exit (from this world) same as was our entry (sin free).Ya rabb forgive us, if you have created us and guided us~A plea of a pious.
